Abstract

The radiative corrections to a typical colliding-beam reaction are calculated for a given experimental arrangement with given energy and angular resolution. Two experimental arragements are considered in detail: a symmetrical arrangement and an asymmetrical arrangement. Higher-order contributions to the radiative corrections are estimated with the use of renormalization-group techniques. A calculation is given of vector-meson resonant contributions to colliding beam reactions in the one-photon channel and possible resonant effects in the two-photon channel are considered. Some remarks on spin-polarization effects and about contributions to vacuum polarization are also made.
