Theoretical basis for application of linguistic variables in diagnostic models of discrete objects

Abstract

We consider a linguistic variable named “Parameter” with discrete fuzzy numbers that corresponds to the discrete output function used for mechanical diagnosis. We construct syntactic and semantic rules for this variable under different constraints on the type of malfunctions that may appear.
