Abstract

Travelling-wave rate equations have been used for studying travelling-wave semiconductor laser amplifiers (TWAs). Theoretical research predicts that TWA has been available for 10 Gbit/s order fiber optic communication systems. Experimental results prove that TWA has been applied for 700 Mbit/s fiber optic communications systems.© (1994) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
