Abstract

Analysis of the properties of gold nanoparticles produced through the bioreduction process using Abelmoschus esculentus leaves was carried out. The gold bioreduction process was carried out using Abelmoschus esculentus leaf extract mixed with stirring. Gold nanoparticles formed can be known from the color change of the yellow solution to the color purple. The gold nanoparticles produced were analyzed using XRD to determine the properties of the nanoparticles produced. The results of the analysis using XRD obtained four diffractograms as a characteristic of gold nanoparticles at an angle of 2θ: 37.82, 44.06, 64.42, and 77.53. Based on the calculation, the average size of the nanoparticles and the average size of the lattice length were 31.90 nm and 73.79 nm, respectively. The strain and stress values of gold nanoparticles produced were 4.8 × 10−5 and 12.57 MPa. In addition, the resulting crystal tends to have a crystal array with the Miller index (311). The energy density of gold nanoparticles is 3.35 KJ/m3.
