Abstract

A two-part theoretical study on counter-flow triple concentric-tube heat exchangers is conducted. In the present part of the study, several case studies are conducted based on the solutions obtained in the first part. The case studies include both performance calculations and design calculations through which it is demonstrated that the relative sizes of the three tubes with respect to each other are the most important parameters that influence the performance (or size) of the exchanger.
