Abstract

Management control is an effective tool for enterprise innovation management, it is used to improve organizational operational efficiency and effectiveness and achieve organizational strategic goals, having a tremendous role in promoting business innovation. The paper analyzes the nature and characteristic of two kinds of enterprise innovation model, exploration innovation and exploitation innovation, the relationship among three kinds of management control method, output control, process control and social control based on the actual needs of contemporary innovative risk management. The final conclusion we find is that enterprises must focus on specific operational characteristics of an enterprise and strategic objectives when they establish institutional arrangements between management control method and innovative model in order to achieve the match of management control and innovative model and improve innovation performance. The paper contributes to enriching theoretical research on management control and corporate innovation, providing a theoretical guidance for management control and innovative model selection as well, and helping enterprises to enhance innovation management level as well.
