Abstract
In order to analyze the electrostatic field distribution from the capillary nozzle to the grounded plane in the electrospinning process, the typical electrospinning system is simplified to an electrical model. By the model the electrostatic field is formulated in different regions. According to the formulas, the magnitude of the electrostatic field and the potential at a point in the electrospinning space are, respectively, in scale with r − 2 and with r − 1(r is the distance from the point to the solution droplet), and the electrostatic field can be calculated from the voltage applied on the capillary.
