Abstract

The previous study has shown that tumor cells can be inhibited by magnetic field stimulation. However, the optimal parameters such as field strength and frequency have not yet been fully determined. In this study, an adjustable frequency and magnetic flux density for a variable frequency magnetic field stimulation system was proposed. Moreover, a new planar stimulation coil with a printed circuit board was proposed, which cooperates with the stimulation system. The field distribution of the stimulation system was simulated by numerical computation. The principle of the system was also analyzed. The tumor cell experiments showed that the proposed stimulation system could induce a wide range of frequency magnetic fields and accelerate the optimization process of field parameters. With the optimized magnetic field stimulation, the proliferation of tumor cells was suppressed.
