Abstract

The Tübingen School has essentially effected the formation of historical theology in the 19th century. But F. Chr. Baur, the founder of the school, had to overcome great resistances, and all his pupils (D. F. Strauß, E. Zeller etc.) were prevented from a career in a theological faculty.
