Abstract
Fermi excitations in a quark-gluon plasma are investigated inthe lightcone gauge. Σ(p) quark self-energy in theone-loopapproximation is calculated using the Leibbrandt-Mandelstamprescription.The quark excitation spectrum is found in the high-temperaturelimit and the dispersion equation is shown to be gauge invariant.
