Abstract

The subject of the researches were rectangular plates with a rectangular hole subjected to uniform compression. Plates were simply supported on shorter edges, made of composite with high strength properties. The aim of the analysis was to choose a laminate layer configuration that ensures the lowest buckling form about bending-twisting character, ensuring stable construction work in the post-critical range. To ensure stable work of structure in post-critical range, used an asymmetrical configuration of composite layers, having Extension-Twisting and Extension-Bending couplings. The scope of the research included numerical FEM analysis of linear and non-linear stability. The numerical tool used to analysis was the ABAQUS program. The subject of the researches were rectangular plates with a rectangular hole subjected to uniform compression.
