Perspectives in Psychiatric CareVolume 21, Issue 2 p. 64-65 “The White Hotel” Revisited Janet S. Wilson, Janet S. Wilson Janet Sullivan Wilson was so impressed by D.M. Thomas's use of psychoanalytic concepts in his best selling novel, “The White Hotel,” that she was prompted to write this book review. Her article explores the reasons for the positive response the book has received by the general public and suggests psychiatric nurses will find this work of fiction stimulating and rewarding. Ms. Wilson is an assistant professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing as well as a consultant for Oklahoma City hospitals in staff management, group, individual, and family therapy. The author received a bachelor of science degree from Hartwick College, Oneonta, New York, and a master of arts in Psychiatric Nursing from New York University.Search for more papers by this author Janet S.
