Abstract

Abstract The Westminster Hospital cancer registry system is described. It is based on a Hewlett-Packard 85 microprocessor, 7225A graph plotter and four floppy disc drives. The software package consists of 25 programs providing facilities for initial registration, subsequent edits and updates, data presentation options and statistical analysis. The data base specification allows 60 variables to be stored for each patient's record. Proposed future hardware additions to the registry are mentioned.
