Abstract
The surface topography has an important influence on the friction and wear characteristics of the contact surface. In this paper, the topography surface after the ball-end milling is taken as the research object, based on the Archard wear model, through the finite element simulation analysis method, the quadrilateral pit topography surface and the ideal smooth surface wear characteristics are compared and analysed, and found that the surface of the quadrangular pit topography has more excellent wear resistance. Then, using the basic principles of the grey system theory, quantitative analysis of the relevance between the real contact area of the topography surface and the surface roughness parameters, it provides a useful idea for the study of friction and wear characteristics of topography surfaces.
