Abstract
This article analyzes the ways of achieving science and knowledge based on the works of the great Kazakh poet Abay Kunanbayuly and reveals that the poet is a philosopher who perfectly possessed knowledge and science and spread knowledge and science to his native land. Abay Kunanbayuly stressed that science and knowledge should not just be literate, but set a specific goal for him and outlined two main goals in the study of knowledge and science. One of them is that the basic concept of Abay's works is necessary in order to be a "perfect person", the other is to serve the independence of the Kazakhs through knowledge and science. The conclusions concerning science and education presented in the works of Abay Kunanbayuly are studied in comparison with the fact that at present issues that were not included in the agenda remain relevant. In the works of Abay Kunanbayuly, a thesaurus analysis of words related to education and science is carried out, statistical data on their meanings and frequency of use are given. In conclusion, it should be noted that the issues of knowledge and science occupy a special place in the works of Abay Kunanbayuly, which reflect national identity, world, life, life, worldview, character, soul, religion, mentality, language, spirit.
