Abstract

AbstractThe volatile constituents of Shi Mei (Rosa davurica Pall.) flower concrete have been investigated by a combination of chromatographic and spectroscopic methods. This essential oil possesses a characteristic plum‐like and Osmanthus flower‐like odour. The main constituents of the essential oil from Shi Mei flower concrete were eugenol (23.8%), benzyl alcohol (24.5%), β‐ionone (7.0%), dihydro‐β‐ionol (3.3%), linalol (6.0%) and benzaldehyde (2.5%).
