Abstract

This article reveals the accumulated experience of scientific space in the phenomenology of vocal therapy. The analysis of foreign and domestic directions of studying of a voice as polymodal material for research of various mental phenomena in psychotherapeutic and psychological practice is given. It is substantiated that vocal therapy can be used to improve various aspects of the functioning of human body systems. Many researchers have proven the effectiveness of vocal therapy in different directions (psychoanalysis, human-centered approach, gestalt therapy, ontopsychology, body-oriented concept, transpersonal voice therapy, as well as sound therapy, music-vocal-therapy, music-pedagogical therapy, music-pedagogical therapy). Singing is popular all over the world due to its availability, which favorably distinguishes vocal therapy from other methods.
