Ensuring their health and safety is the main concern of employers, regulators, trade associations, industry groups and local communities. Work in this industry includes physical labor, round-the-clock operations, heavy machinery, hazardous chemicals, often remote locations and weather conditions. All these factors increase the risk of physical harm and determine the need for special protective measures.
