Abstract

Looks at the view library users meet when logging on for looking for information resources. Considers the needs of the computer novice, and the more advanced user. Identifies the need for more detail than a basic list of other resources held. Advocates the use of self‐explanatory materials, capturing and holding attention, ways of presenting special collections and updating online display pages.
