The vibrational spectrum of the molecule Os 4O 4(CO) 12

Abstract

The i.r. and Raman spectra of the molecule Os 4O 4(CO) 12 have been obtained in the range 2200–2267 cm −1. The solution data in the CO stretching region indicate that the molecule has T d symmetry in solution. On the basis of a partial normal coordinate analysis, approximate CO stretching force constants have been calculated.
