Abstract
Six antimony phosphates, K 3Sb 3P 2O 14, xH 2O, KSb 2PO 8, KSbP 2O 8, SbOPO 4, K 2SbPO 6, and K 5Sb 5P 2 O 20, have been studied by vibrational spectroscopies: infrared absorption and Raman diffusion. An assignment of the observed frequencies is given, more particularly for the stretching PO and SbO domains. The number of bridging and unshared oxygen atoms in the PO 4 groups has been related to the highest ν as (PO) frequency of the spectra. For the three types of SbO bonds the frequency ranges have been specified.
