Abstract

Natural frequencies of some bladed-disk models were measured and compared with those calculated by a transfer matrix method offered formerly by one of the authors. As the result, measured and calculated values proved to be in fairly good agreement. On the other hand, a bladedisk model was investigated experimentally for its resonant conditions and vibration behavior when it was excited by air jets rotating around the periphery. The results are checked according to a theory offered by the author as to the resonances, and they are found to follow the theory.
