Abstract
T he use of wax rims instead of conventional handles on custom impression trays has been advocated as an aid in the making of final impressions for complete dentures.‘*2 This article describes the expanded use of wax rim handles to include the accurate selection of denture teeth, the mounting of the maxillary cast using a face-bow transfer index, and ultimately as a guide for the setup of the maxillary anterior teeth.
