Abstract
The variables of the Magellanic Cloud globular cluster NGC 1466, are discussed. In all, 43 RR Lyrae variables have been discovered. For only six, periods and lightcurves are presented. Of these, five are of Bailey class a, and one is a c type. The mean apparent magnitude of the variables is 19.1 and is based on a magnitude sequence determined by Gascoigne. The corresponding apparent distance modulus is 18.6.
