Abstract

This paper reviews the models that are commonly used in Animal Cell Biotechnology and seeks to evaluate their contribution to the progression of the subject area. It concludes that there is yet need to develop more refined and explicit conceptual models of a qualitative nature in order that available mathematical techniques can be applied with enhanced benefit for the advancement of the technology.
