Abstract

Secondary care psychological services support clients presenting with a range of complex, chronic and co-morbid mental health problems. Providing psychological therapies for this group can, however, be a challenge when matching diverse needs with available single model approaches. This paper provides an overview of our provision of ‘integrative therapy’ as a clinically useful approach. With reference to case vignettes, the need for maintaining this way of working in an evolving NHS is illustrated.
