Abstract
Summary Fields A, H and M of NC115 concession started production in the latest 90’s in Libyan Murzuq Basin. These three fields produced from two main Ordovician reservoirs, which are Mamuniyat and Hawaz formations. The scope of this study is to provide a single geological model of three fields A, H and M in NC115 concession, by applying a reservoir modelling strategy that follows One-Repsol-Way standards. For that purpose, the strategy was developed on a sedimentological framework that links three fields. This permits to maximize the value of core descriptions, sedimentological studies and geological conceptual model proposed for Mamuniyat and Hawaz formations. In that context, the reservoir characterization phase started with a new seismic interpretation performed on the latest Gigacube. Interpretation of faults and sub-seismic faults was the key for compartments and barriers controlling dynamic field performance. Petrophysical interpretation based on pore throat methodology was linked with facies associations. The result of this work is a geological model that replicates fault compartmentalization controlling water production, field pressure and reservoir connectivity between M, A and H fields. The geological model was the main input for the history matching and optimization to support decisions in the field development plan.
