Abstract

KRISTAPS LICIS is a Ph.D. student and research assistant at CISDM SOM at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts. R ecent years have witnessed a dramatic growth of venture capital investments. New capital commitments to the venture capital industry in the United States have more than tripled since 1991. However, despite the growing significance of venture capital, finding in-depth information on the performance of venture capital investments is no easy task in general. Today, there are a great number of venture-capital-related web sites on the Internet, but only a few of them offer relevant venture investment information. In this review, we concentrate on a selection of venture-capital-related web sites that do offer venture investment performance, benchmarking, and quality capital source listing information: PricewaterhouseCoopers Venture Capital Survey, VentureOne, Venture Economics, and Venture Capital Resource Library.
