Abstract

Electromyography (EMG) serves as a supplement to the clinical examination. Traditional EMG techniques, by displaying the electrical activity of muscle, permit precise localization and identification of muscles not easily palpated from the surface. A more recently developed EMG technique, Turns analysis, allows a quantitative assessment of muscle activity.
