Abstract

This paper describes the use of vehicle navigation and information systems for mapping the radio coverage of the cellular mobile telephone systems in Norway. The systems use NAVSTAR GPS (Global Positioning System) in combination with a dead reckoning unit for navigational purposes, combining the position with the measurements results from a number of receivers measuring field strength and other parameters in the cellular telephone system
