Abstract
(a) Data The acquisition and coding of data is one of the hardest tasks in preparing examples. This could be made easier if data on tape or cards were available. Textbook authors could arrange for their data to be available in this form. Others could be encouraged to prepare books of data and supply this data in machine readable form. (b) Examples of the use of computers. Detailed examples giving input, output, control cards and other details sufficient for the novice to run programs would be useful. The Side Inch by W. J. Dixon is an example of these.
