Abstract
The use of restorative materials colored to simulate tooth structure has been discussed. The criteria for selecting one compound over another have been given with the factors that are necessary for manipulation and cavity preparation. From all indications, the future is promising for the development of esthetic restorative materials. Continued research and clinical evaluation will develop new materials to improve the services of operative dentistry.
