Abstract
The paper presents the optimization of the geraniol transformation process based on the DFA method (Desire-function analysis). The influence of the most important process parameters, such as temperature, catalyst concentration and reaction time, is shown. The response functions characterizing the process were: conversion of geraniol, selectivity of thumbergol and selectivity of 6,11-dimethyl-2,6,10-dodecatrien-1-ol. For individual process parameters, their influence on all initial parameters in the form of second-degree polynomials was determined and such as process conditions were determined to achieve their maximum.
