Abstract

The study showed that the degree of air pollution, even in a city with "high" pollution, directly depends on the presence of a significant number of woody plants. Green spaces of a park nature reduce the level of pollution. In this study, it was possible to demonstrate that phyto-indication methods, even in a very simple form that does not require special tools and trained personnel, can be successfully used as monitoring indicators of air quality in urban conditions. To simplify the accounting work, it is proposed to calculate separately the degree of damage to the surface and the degree of drying of the needles of the common pine.
