Наиболее известными примерами типов технологий восстановительного правосудия является медиация между жертвой и правонарушителем и различные формы так называемых конференций (в которых участвуют не только правонарушитель и потерпевший, но и другие лица), а также «круги примирения». Медиация между правонарушителем и потерпевшим может быть проведена в Австрии в качестве меры освобождения от уголовной ответственности на досудебной или судебной стадии процесса [14].
