Abstract

Type TPX radiographic film by Polaroid Corporation is a 'dry-chemical' processed imaging system. While this film system has found its greatest application in surgical radiography, that it uses a small (40*65 cm2), portable processor requiring no darkroom, makes the system potentially attractive for checking light localisation field alignment on radiotherapy treatment units, which often must be performed at night after regular film processors have been turned off, or when successive adjustments might otherwise require frequent trips to a distant darkroom.
