Abstract

Nowadays the process of bone cutting and drilling is one of the important problems in maxillofacial surgery. Devices with a low power electric motor and an uncontrolled rotation speed of the work tool, as well as expensive devices such as Piezon-Master 400 are used to make holes during osteosynthesis, implantation and bone cutting in maxillofacial surgery. We have developed a special turbine pneumatic dental drill, which, can be an alternative to standard air turbine devices used in clinical practice when working on facial bones.
