Abstract

The article presents models of communication systems used for data acquisition that would meet the new challenges related to active control of the low-voltage (LV) grid based on distributed algorithms. These models were based on programmable logic controllers (PLCs) that could corporate with teleme-chanic and substation automation protection devices used to manage the grid operation. The use of PLCs allows for the mapping of the data exchange method implemented by complex control systems and the assessment of their interoperability. The article also presents methods for testing communication processes for simple models using industrial communication protocols as well as for models using protocols with a complex structure used in teletechnics.
