Abstract

Objective To provide clinical reference for the logical use of narcotics by analyzing the current status of narcotic use in our hospital. Methods The data on the use of narcotics in the clinic pharmacy and hospital pharmacy during the period of 2002 to 2006 were statistically analzyed. Results The use and sale of narcotics, especially transdermal fentanyl, increased year after year; however, pethidine injection decreased gradually. Conclusions The use of narcotics in our hospital is logical. Oral and transdermal narcotics become the mainstream of pain-killing medications. Key words: Narcotics; Compliance; DDDs
