The use of Magseed to localise loco-regional lymph node recurrences prior to chemotherapy

Abstract

Background: Locoregional lymph node recurrence that requires chemotherapy prior to surgery in the setting of no systemic metastases provides oncology dilemmas as to order and type of treatment. In the setting of starting with chemotherapy; localisation of the diseased node prior to treatment is useful as retrieval of diseased nodes post-chemotherapy may prove challenging.
