Summary

Introduction

Hyaluronic acid (HA) filler injection is an increasingly popular technique utilized for volume replacement, noninvasive skin rejuvenation, and soft tissue augmentation. Kim et al reported a case series of four patients who developed skin necrosis after HA filler injection in the nasal area. Several cases have been reported in the literature that describe successful resolution of nasojugal and cheek nodules associated with HA injection after injection of 75 units of hyaluronidase, reconstituted in 0.5% lidocaine with epinephrine [25,26].
