The Use of GERAM in the Formalization of the Global Virtual Business Framework

Abstract

A formalization of the Framework for Global Virtual Business (COSME Model) to create a reference model for Virtual Enterprise design, creation and operation using GERAM is presented. This reference model has been used to replicate the project in other regions of Latin American. Specifically El Salvador. The most important lesson learned is that the use of formal frameworks and methodologies reduces time effort andcost in the implementation of similar projects. GERAM has been proved to be useful in determining the necessary elements for the creation of Enterprise Integration Architectures.
