Abstract

This paper presents a model of family treatment which is based upon .the existential concepts of Viktor Frankl. This family therapy approach is directed towards the useful facilitation of a family search for meaning. The article describes how a family's search for meaning can be encouraged directly and/or indirectly. A member of treatment activities are described which are specifically helpful in assisting families in their search for meaning. The approach is often very useful with families seen in private practice.
