Abstract

AbstractA rapid method for the isolation of several important glucosinolates in large (gram) amounts using flash chromatography is described. Emphasis has been paid to the major glucosinolates of the meal and green material of rape, Brassica napus, to enable further studies on their bioactivity and to supply standards for analytical purposes. The application of the method for the isolation of other glucosinolates is discussed.
