Abstract

This study aims to test the effect of the use of an English Cartoon Animation with two different techniques on an improving of pronunciation in English of young Thai students and compares the results of the two groups. The two experimental groups of 70 students aged between 5-7 were taught through two different methods by the researcher herself: one was done without pronunciation exercises and the other with pronunciation practices after watching each of 20 English cartoon animation episodes. A pre-test and a post-test were given to both groups. The findings from the analyses of t-tests present a significant improvement of English pronunciation of the group that had pronunciation practice.
