Abstract

Deaf children find information and audio of delivery of information. According Haenudin (2013, p. 67) states that and is the result of a process of imitation, which is in a distinct language, which is very limited in vocabulary, it is difficult to interpret metaphorically and words are abstract. Media effective alternative to acquiring information (vocabulary) that use visual media. The method used in this research is qualitative research methods class action. The data obtained by means of work, interviewing, reporting and questionnaires as the data amplifier. In this research, there is the concept and implementation of learning a fun learning method, which focuses on vocabulary skills deaf students. Media used in this study is a picture card media (visual). The process of improving vocabulary skills deaf students with media picture cards include: (1) understanding of deaf students to images that have been, (2) mentions three existing words or related to the image you have selected, (3) the announcement of the picture with a vocabulary that is understood deaf students, (4) the researchers describe the image that has not been told by deaf students, (5) a decision deaf students to tell the whole picture is selected. The results of data analysis deaf students study vocabulary using picture card media that deaf students are still generalizing about objects that have the same characteristics. Students are many things that are concrete than the abstract. Acquiring vocabulary of deaf children by word classes nouns and adjectives word class a little understanding.
