Abstract

The paper summarizes the findings of the investigation into properties of diamond powders grown in the Fe-Si-C system. Diamond is synthesized using Fe-Si with a silicon content of the alloy being 5–7 wt %. The influence of the ferrosilicon amount in synthetic diamonds of grade AS6 on the specific diamond consumption in the process of diamond and electrical discharge diamond grinding.
