Abstract

The development of the Family Therapy Interventions model (FTI) aims to answer the problem of parenting stress on parents of autistic children. This study was conducted on 10 families who have children with various characteristics of autistic syndrome. the types of autism in the study participants were 3 children who needed support (Level 1), 2 children who needed substantial support (Level 2), and 5 children who needed very large support (Level 3). This model has 5 stages including professional expertise, conduct assessment, develop an intervention plan, intervention and monitoring progress, and evaluation. The key to implementing this model is collaboration between the school and parents at every stage to ensure the alignment of the intervention program. The use of technology or communication media in the application of the model can be very collaborative to increase the knowledge, confidence, and readiness of parents to develop the potential of autistic children.
