Abstract

The bilinear interpolation filter method is introduced to reduce the image noise in this work that contains the following three procedures. Firstly, the algorithm principle of bilinear interpolation filter is analyzed. On this basis, a case study is investigated to validate the effectiveness of bilinear interpolation filter. The signal-to-noise ratio, SNR, is finally applied for the image quality evaluation. Form the above procedures we find that the SNR to the image after processed by bilinear interpolation filter method is larger than that to the original image, which illustrates that the bilinear interpolation filter is an effective method to remove image noise.
