Abstract

The focus of this chapter is on the use of group work in each institution to encourage both cooperative learning and as an assessment approach. The chapter underlines the importance of group work which allows for the building of the rationality dynamic to international higher education. The focus on group work allows the reader to understand students’ cultural interactions. The chapter permits an understanding of the importance of the use of group work and offers examples of students’ cultural interactions and the development of cultural understanding. This mode of learning is key to the acquisition of cultural knowledge in an international higher education environment and demonstrates that a contextualised country experience is key to cultural learning.
